Overview    This hands-on training course explores VMware Infrastructure 3, which consists of VMware ESX Server and VMware VirtualCenter with a special focus on SAP System Administration.  Upon completion of this course, you can take the examination to become a VMware Certified Professional.  This course is a prerequisite for a course entitled VMware Infrastructure 3: Deploy, Secure, and Analyze.
 
 
Objectives    At the end of the course, you should gain an understanding of the functionality in VMware Infrastructure 3 with a focus on SAP Netweaver (NW 20045) in virtual machines and be able to:
•  Install ESX Server
•  Configure ESX Server networking and storage
•  Install and configure VirtualCenter
•  Control user access to the VMware infrastructure
•  Deploy and manage virtual machines using VirtualCenter
•  Allocate and monitor virtual machines’ resources
•  Ensure high availability of applications
•  Troubleshoot typical ESX Server issues
 
Who Should Attend?    System administrators, systems engineers, and operators responsible for ESX Server and/or VirtualCenter
 
Prerequisites    Attendance of course “SAPTEC”.   System administration experience on Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems
