| Prerequisites | Required • Comfort with fundamental Windows administration tasks such as adding users and computers to Active Directory domains Recommended • Completion of VMware Infrastructure 3: Install and Configure or equivalent experience with VMware Infrastructure 3 • Basic experience in Microsoft Windows administration Basic Skills Self-Assessment: VDM You must already possess the following pre-requisite skills to gain the greatest possible value from attending this course: • Build a Windows virtual machine using the VMware Infrastructure Client. • Create a template in VMware vCenter and deploy a virtual machine from it. • Migrate a virtual machine using VMware vMotion. • Open a virtual machine console on vCenter and access the guest operating system. • Modify a virtual machine’s hardware (add disk, add NIC). • Modify a template customization file. • Configure Active Directory (AD) roaming profiles. • Configure AD GPOs. • Configure AD DNS forward and reverse lookup. • Configure AD DHCP. |
